About the Author

 

   A Registered Dietitian for nearly 40 years, Pat McHale has been interested in food as   long as she can remember. She has experimented with vegetarianism for many years. A summer eating the macrobiotic way impressed her how much better she felt. When finally she retired after 30 years of active children-in-the-house mothering, she became a vegan at the suggestion of her son.

When she finally retired a few years latter, the first thing she did was write this book to answer all the questions posed by this drastic (to her friends and family) change in life style. She is delighted with the public's growing awareness of diet related to health and hopes this small book will help in the pursuit of general wellness.

Pat now lives in the Ozarks enjoying her new activities of square dancing, quilting, volunteer work and freighter travel when not writing.
